so i mentioned that our relief vet was a cowboy... he really wore the boots to work. and jeans. and a great attitude. we had a pretty good workday, followed by most of us heading over to the pirates cove for some fried foods (etc.).
tricia brought a couple of the babies to work (the left behind kitten and big foster brother grey). our intern will be adopting them, and taking them back up to seabeck at the end of her internship. the little squirt is "terribly cute". and the two kittens together (one about twice the size of the other)... soooooo adorable.
also today, we managed to get a foster home for chester, a little mixed-breed dog who's been stopping by to say hi on his daily walks. his mom had to give him up due to a family situation, and suddenly a foster home fell into our laps (thanks to michelle). and i finally got ahold of the person we want to end up as his adoptive mom. and she's interested. so tomorrow i get to coordinate getting them together to meet. oh i hope this works!
