these are the horse head pillars and the entryway (can you kind of see the rock wall in there?):
this is the fireplace/heat stove from the inside. i love the ceiling, and the arched doorways, and the tile floor:
that's about where it stops being awesome. the rest of it needs more work than i originally thought. like, there's not a toilet in the main bathroom... stuff like that. there is still some carpet that needs to be torn out, but i bet it could be replaced with pergo or something else relatively inexpensive. the potential though! there are 4 bedrooms (rooms with closets) all in the left(south) wing of the house. there is also one bathroom and two additional small rooms (cat/dog or storage rooms, maybe) on that side. the other wing has the dining room (red tile floor!) kitchen (needs some work) den, another bathroom, and the double garage.
all in all, tons of space, would definitely keep me busy for a long time, and would need a tiny bit of work done before i could even move in. also needs some appliances. i noticed a refrigerator, and i think there's a stove, but i that's it. so i need to find out if this usda rural housing thing loans out extra funds for putting in appliances and plumbing fixtures.
